Juice Plus+ is no miracle cure – it’s a catalyst for health

Juice Plus+ is not a miracle cure for illness nor does it single-handedly deliver health and wellbeing.

Juice Plus+ is however the perfect catalyst for change in our lives.

When we choose to use Juice Plus+, we’ve already made a commitment to improve our lifestyles. There seems little point in purchasing the world’s leading whole food product to supplement our fruit and vegetable intake without addressing the other elements of our lives which require change in order to achieve healthier living.

However, in deciding to reap the benefits of Juice Plus+ we strive to do everything else right and in that respect the product can provide the spark which sets our dedication to living healthy lifestyles on fire.

Just as using Juice Plus+ daily becomes a good habit, so too do getting adequate sleep, drinking enough water and cutting out junk from our diets.

Using Juice Plus feeds directly in to the formation of good habits simply because by eating enough fruit and vegetables, our bodies crave less rubbish.

By giving our bodies the fuel it needs sleep quality can also be greatly enhanced.

When someone says using Juice Plus+ is not an important factor on the road to better living, I agree wholeheartedly as long as the person making the change is getting an abundance of nutrition from the optimum intake of fruit and vegetables.

Unfortunately, in today’s world of high octane living very few of us even come close to eating enough, with five a day being a minimum requirement for baseline health, wellbeing and performance.

Some may juice the optimum amount of fruit and vegetables but even this has a downside as the increased sugar content that results from juicing can work against our dedicated efforts to achieve our goals.

With the sugar completely removed and nothing but the whole food goodness of fruit and vegetables remaining, Juice Plus+ capsules are a perfect companion for our dedication to improving our lifestyles.

Whether we use Juice Plus+ or eat daily plates of fruit and vegetables – the commitment to getting the optimum portions will fuel the other integral parts of our plans to achieve health, wellness and fitness.

Increasing fruit and vegetables intake is a catalyst for transformation and for many people Juice Plus+ has become the perfect way ensure optimal intake to support health and wellbeing.

For further information on Juice Plus+ and the benefits of making it a part of your daily routine, please get in touch.

Glazed Cornish Hens with Wild Rice Stuffing

The savoury rice stuffing goes wonderfully with the moist golden hens.

Ingredients

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

2/3 cup chopped yellow onion (from about 1/2 large onion)

1/3 cup chopped celery (from about 1 medium rib)

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1/2 cup uncooked wild rice

1 1/2 cups unsalted chicken broth

3/4 cup seedless red grapes, halved lengthwise

1 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme

2 teaspoons kosher salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

Olive oil cooking spray

4 1 1/4-lb Cornish hens

3/4 cup white balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons honey

1 thyme sprig

Preparation

1. Melt 1 tablespoon of the butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion and celery; cook, stirring often, until onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Stir in rice; cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Stir in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, about 1 hour and 5 minutes. Stir in grapes, chopped thyme, ½ teaspoon of the salt and ¼ teaspoon of the pepper. Transfer to a bowl; let cool for 15 minutes.

2. Preheat oven to 220°C. Place a wire rack in a foil-lined large rimmed baking sheet; coat rack with cooking spray. Stuff warm rice mixture into cavities of hens; tie ends of legs together with kitchen twine and tuck wing tips under. Place hens breast-side up on rack. Rub with remaining 2 tablespoons butter and sprinkle with remaining 1½ teaspoons salt and ¾ teaspoon pepper. Bake until golden brown and a thermometer inserted into thigh registers 72°C, about 35 minutes.

3. Meanwhile, combine vinegar, honey and thyme sprig in a small saucepan; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Boil, stirring occasionally, until mixture is syrupy and reduced to about ¼ cup, 7 to 8 minutes. Discard thyme sprig.

4. After hens have baked for 35 minutes, brush with vinegar mixture. Continue baking until hens are deeply browned and a thermometer inserted into thigh registers 72°C, about 10 minutes. (Shield hens with foil if needed to prevent excessive browning.) Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes. Split hens in half length

What is Black Friday?

Black Friday has been an American shopping phenomenon since the 1930s and falls on the day after Thanksgiving Day every year in the US. Traditionally seen as the start of the Christmas shopping season for many Americans, more recently Black Friday has become a popular retail event on this side of the Atlantic and has quickly become one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

When is Black Friday?

This year Black Friday falls on Friday, November 25th, the day after Thanksgiving Day in the US. Black Friday is also followed by popular online shopping day Cyber Monday, which this year falls on Monday, November 28th 2016.

7 Easy Ways To Lose Weight Without Counting Calories

Want to lose weight without struggling with temptation? There are many things you can do to lose weight, without ever counting a single calorie. These seven tricks will remove willpower from the equation so you don’t have to give healthy eating a second thought:

Keep Healthy Snacks On You at All Times

Wherever you go, so should healthy snacks. Whether it be your desk, your purse, your gym bag, it doesn’t matter.  That way, when hunger strikes, you have a healthy option right at your fingertips and won’t have to fight the urge to fill up on less-than-healthy choices.

Keep Junk Food Out of Reach

In case you didn’t know people are inherently lazy. If people actually have to get up to grab a food, they’ll eat less of it—no matter how much they love it. If you bring an unhealthy treat into your house, put it in a high cupboard where you can’t see it. That way, you’ll certainly eat less of it.

Eat Breakfast

By eating breakfast every single day. It will help keep your blood sugar levels in check so you don’t get greedy and overindulge later in the day.

Using Smaller Plates

This is an easy way of eating less and also makes you think you’re eating more! According to the University of Groningen, people who eat off of six-inch plates think they’re eating about 18 percent more food than they actually are. There’s no need to be drastic about it: According to researchers, a two-inch reduction in plate diameter would cut your calories consumed by 22 percent—the equivalent of about 18 pounds lost in a single year.

Eating More Protein Can Reduce Appetite

There is a lot of evidence that protein can increase fat burning and reduce hunger, leading to automatic weight loss. Increasing your protein intake burns more calories because protein takes more energy to digest than carbs or fat. It can also increase muscle mass, helping you burn more calories around the clock.

Making Time for Quality Sleep

Poor sleep and excess stress can mess up important metabolic hormones like ghrelin, leptin and cortisol. Researchers at Columbia University have found that if you sleep less than 7 hours a night, you are going to put on more weight and getting rid of those extra pounds will be all the harder.

Replacing Your Cooking Fats with Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has some unique properties that can help reduce appetite and increase fat burning. It goes straight to the liver where they are either used for energy or turned into ketone bodies compared to other fats…

Can running really make us smarter?

Some research indicates that may well be the case – so don the trainers, grab the crossword and hit the road.

Running and brain activity is a subject I stumbled upon recently in a newspaper article in which the author stated that she felt an increased ability to perform mentally after a daily run.

It struck a chord with me because that slight boost in thinking ability is something that I experience not only after running but following any form of exercise. Of course that could be for several reasons, not least the clarity that exercise can bring as a result of relaxation and the extra feel-good factor it provides due to activity-induced happy hormone production.

The positive effects of exercise on mental health and wellbeing have been well documented over the years.

Joyce Carole Oates, American author and professor of creative writing at Princeton University, encapsulates the stimulation provided by running pretty well: “Running! If there’s any activity happier, more exhilarating, more nourishing to the imagination, I can’t think of what it might be. In running, the mind flees with the body, the mysterious efflorescence of language seems to pulse in the brain, in rhythm with our feet and the swinging of our arms.”

Regardless of the feel-good factor of running, scientific research does indicate that running or moderate to intense exercise in general can actually make us brainier.

It’s been long proven that exercise can combat symptoms of depression through the stimulation of happy hormones in the body such as serotonin, endorphins and oxytocin.

More recent studies have found that exercise or, more specifically, running can literally make our brains bigger by increasing our grey matter.

A collaborative study conducted by scientists at the University of Cambridge and the US National Institute on Aging in Baltimore, found that running mice developed thousands of new brain cells.

Such brain boosting significantly increased the ability of the mice to recall memories, without confusing them – which is, apparently, a crucial skill for cognition and learning.

It appears research has yet to be completed which pinpoints exactly how this comes to be the case but it is believed it may be a result of the increased blood flow to the brain generated by the exercise.

Armed with this new knowledge, I will now step into my trainers and head out the door with an even greater spring in my step despite the discouraging onset of the winter chills.

Maybe it will make me smarter, maybe not. What I do know is that running and exercise certainly helps keep me healthy, happy and ready to deal effectively with the hurdles of everyday life.

Normal people living a life less ordinary

I’m sick and tired of hearing people say ‘I could never do what you do’ – simply because it’s not true.

My home-grown business, which started by investing night after night on the couch after the kids were tucked up in bed, has flourished more than I ever could have dreamt in such a short space of time. However, that’s certainly not because I’m in anyway different to the next person. I’m just an ordinary girl who has done an ordinary thing which has had extraordinary results for my family – it’s about time people realised that and got involved.

Anyone can do it. All you need to be successful in network marketing is belief in your product, belief in yourself and determination to work hard.

To be honest, when I started selling Juice Plus+ it wasn’t because I wanted to make money at all. I began my new career because I loved what the product had done for me and my family’s health and I wanted to share it with the world.

It’s always been in my nature to try to help people as best I can when they mention problems during conversation and that’s exactly how I started selling Juice Plus+.

When I discovered just how beneficial the product was for my family’s health I wanted to tell everyone I met. I soon wanted to tell everyone I didn’t meet via social media and later though our website.

Of course, there’s a lot of work involved but now I can work on my own terms for a fantastic return – not only in monetary value but in free time as well. On top of the health benefits of using Juice Plus+ products, my entire family is now experiencing the lifestyle benefits provided by sharing it with others.

We have more time to spend together plus the added bonus of enjoying the financial stability to ensure our free time is spent doing fantastic and memorable things.

I’m still just an ordinary, everyday girl from Letterkenny with no airs or graces – I simply have an extraordinary work-life balance. Anyone can do the same and I’m inviting you all to give it a try.

You may want a career change or simply desire a little extra income while holding down your current job, you can make of the opportunity what you like to best suit your needs.

One thing I can assure you is that no special attributes are required to succeed in reaching those goals – all it takes is a little hard work, plenty of dedication and lots of interaction with others about the benefits of the product.

If you own a computer device and a phone, then you’re good to go. To learn more simply get in touch today and open the door to an extraordinary way of life with the help of our ever-growing team of normal, everyday people.

If I can do it, anyone can do it – of that I am certain. So enough already, stop saying ‘I could never do what you do’ and join in the fun.
